Eat Smart With These Additions to Your Diet
Eating smart means eating foods that are low in fat and rich in nutrients. It means eating lots of fruits, vegetables, and whole grains. But eating right can also be delicious!
If you’re not already, try and increase the amount of these foods:
- Oatmeal or other whole-grain cereals
- Whole-wheat bread
- Rye bread
- Baked potato
- Sweet potato or yams
- Grilled or baked foods
- Yogurt
- Fish
- Turkey (skinless)
- Chicken (skinless)
- Garlic, onions
- Salad
- Carrots, broccoli, and other vegetables
- Apples, bananas, and other fruits
- Skim milk
- Fruit juice
- Water
